Who is PBUSA?

  • Established in 1978
  • Focused in helping people in Pangasinan and the Pangasinan (Filipino) community in the US (Southern California)
  • Charity, Business Networking
  • Social and Family Oriented
  • Non Profit Organization-Recently obtain this status

 

PBUSA Mission Statement

  • An avenue for intelligent participation by Pangasinenses in the affairs of their community, state and nation matters, here and abroad;
  • Provide its members the opportunity for personal growth and achievement; and to develop true friendship among members; and
  • The Brotherhood shall vigorously work for progress to raise the quality of life in the thriving cities and towns of the Province of Pangasinan in general, and to help preserve and promote its people’s unique culture, tradition and practices, thereby making the Brotherhood a positive agent of change and prosperity

 

Why organize the youth (15-45 years old) ?

  • ExchaNurture artistic skills and personal development
  • Expose to heritgage/culture
  • Empower them
  • Perpetuate the existence of PBUSA and its ability to continue helping the community
  • Bring the organization to the next level of leadership, relevancy and outreach
  • Need help in providing charity work

How do we organize the Youth ?

  • Technology
  • Gain support of the parents, council presidents,general members
  • Provide incentives for different town association to work with each other
  • Involving them in creating fun social events

  • Networking (social and business)
  • Exposure to heritage (Awareness)
  • Family unity (Improving or supplementing family relationships thru events and events)

  • Monthly Seminars
  • 2-3 Major Events For 2014 (sports & talent)
  • “Legarcy Corner” tab in website videos of parents who went thru the same thing in their lives. Raising children, advice about family life, career, growing up
  • Volunteer hours for school
  • Charity Events (Organize &Participate)
  • Personal development classes or events

 

We need YOU !

  • Please talk to Youth and Hospitality officer about what you can do.
  • Provide contact information for future events
  • Join our Facebook group, visit our website and continue to attend the once a month meetings
  • Stay tuned for upcoming events especially the monthly seminars on daily life situations (i.e. financial matters, starting a business and family matters)

 

Main Message

  • To create a youth group that is engaged, dynamic, progressive, socially aware and understands their culture regardless of where they grew up. A group that will continue to exist because they know that PBUSA will be relevant in their lives because of the value that it provides. Regardless of where life takes them they can say that PBUSA, big or small contributed to their success financially, artistically, socially and personal development.
