Over 1,000 slots offered in PESO mini job fair

Lingayen- – -Hundreds of  jobseekers trooped to the Pangasinan Employment Services Office (PESO) on October 13 to either seek greener pastures abroad or find opportunities for local employment.

For local employment, Bestone Human Resource Services, Inc. opened 1,000 slots for production operators. The company noted an age requirement of 18 to 38 years. Work experience is unnecessary.

On the other hand, the mini job fair offered various positions for health workers bound for Saudi Arabia specifically physiotherapy, technician, nurses, occupational therapy, general cook, dental technician, and x-ray technician.

Qualified applicants may also grab a slot as family/company driver, heavy equipment driver, carpenter, plumber, carpenter, tile setter, mason, painter, laborer, waiter, coffee maker, saleslady, nurse, caregiver, electrician, technician, auto mechanic, salon staff, waiter/waitress, receptionist, and cleaners in various Middle East countries like Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar.

Earlier, PESO Chief Alex F. Ferrer disclosed that aside from the regular job fairs and special recruitment activities, several other undertakings are held to assist jobseekers specifically the fresh graduates.

Ferrer noted earlier that orientations are conducted to provide every jobseeker insights on how to find the right career path.

Meanwhile, Governor Amado “Pogi” I. Espino III stated in his First 100 Days report that livelihood and employment were included as among his administration’s priority thrusts.

He disclosed that in his first 100 days of tenure, four job fairs and 29 job recruitment activities were held. Of this, a total of 1,186 jobseekers were placed—1,141 local-based and 45 abroad.

In stating this, the provincial chief executive vowed to provide more employment, income, and livelihood opportunities for Pangasinenses throughout his term.

Meanwhile, the next PESO local recruitment activity is scheduled on October 18 where 500 female production operators will be sought for employment at Hitachi Phils. Corp. based in Laguna province. (Ruby R. Bernardino)
